Description

This is the story of George, a brave little mouse,
his keeper calls him Larry and makes him wear a blouse.
She feeds him cheese, she shows him off, on the wheel he runs, drinking water from a trough.
“This is not who I am. I am George. Why is she calling me Larry?
This blouse is too ridiculous and heavy to carry.
Cheese is so bland; this life doesn’t feel right,
I want to escape where the city lights shine bright.”

The Mouse In The City is the tale of our hero George, a mouse who dreams of escaping the clutches of an evil cat and his egg frying owner, to live a better life in the big City.

A rhyming short story accompanied by illustrations from talented illustrator Katja Potokar, children will find this read both inspiring and funny. Suitable for ages 6-10 years.
