Description
This is a Regency romance. Christopher Hartleigh, heir to the ailing Duke of Somersham, is amused when that Duke asks that he marry Susan, Christopher's cousin and daughter of the present duke. He thinks it likely that Susan will also be amused and he seeks her out in order to share the joke with her. But when he sees her going into the woods alone, he is curious and follows her to the cottage of the local herbalist. What he overhears turns his amusement into something else entirely.And while he listens, he realises the choice has been snatched away from him.
