Thomas J Eyre
BioThomas was born in Oxford in 1957, he relocated to Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire in 1969 at the age of 12 when his parents bought the Shuthonger Transport Cafe. He left school at the age of 15, worked in the cafe for a few months until he joined the Royal Navy as an Aircraft Handler (Chockhead). <br /> <br /> He left the RN in 1978 and settled down with his new wife in Tewkesbury as a long distance HGV driver. When the offer of a spell contracting in Libya in 1980 came about, he moved his family down to Bournemouth so that his wife and son would have the support of her family whilst he was away. Whilst in Libya he drifted into engineering, which he continued after he returned to Great Britain in between HGV driving. <br /> <br /> He went to Bournemouth University in 1992 as an undergraduate and gained a 2:1 degree, becoming a B.Sc.(Hon's) in 1995. He worked in managerial positions in a few companies in the Poole area until June 3rd 2000. The Millennium bug bit him on that date causing him to crash his motorcycle, ending his career and almost his life. Since then Thomas has used writing to aid in his recovery and now sees writing as a new career path for him.
