Bio

Maya Thoresen is a Danish lifestyle coach and an expert on the hygge way of living. She grew up in Esbjerg, Denmark, and immigrated to the United States when she was twenty. She was stunned and concerned by the hectic way of life that many Americans practiced, as well as the high rates of suicide, depression, heart disease, and other stress-related illnesses abundant in her new country, so she decided to dedicate her life to teaching people about hygge. Now she works as an author and mentor, helping people make their lives both simpler and richer at the same time.
