Bio

I've been writing comic fantasy since I was a child. Fortunately, my HILARIOUS poems about guinea pigs are lost to posterity but my books set in the Tworld are being released into the wild at a pace I think the world can cope with.

If you like Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, my books might amuse you. As with TP, I aim for a strong story first and foremost and only then layer on the comedy - we're not talking about slapstick here. Though there are plenty of infantile jokes.

Robot Empire: Victor, a novelette

We created them to serve us. We gave them freedom. They betrayed us.
If you enjoy the science fiction of Isaac Asimov, Arthur C Clarke and Ray Bradbury you'll enjoy this adventure - the prequel to the forthcoming Robot Empire series.
Victor Kansarv moved to Praxos IV to live out a contented, solitary, life with his friend Wells, a robot. Then humans built a holiday resort for the citizens of the Galactic Sphere to enjoy, ruining his view. Ten years after its completion comes news that changes everything - artificial minds are to be granted Free Will.
Victor's fear that his friendship won't survive the upgrade turns out to be the least of his concerns when the screams start echoing up from the resort below.
Can Victor and Wells rescue themselves and the humans below from catastrophe?

Amateur Grammatics

Look at this old woman, what do you see? Wrong.
Gramma Tickle, elemental witch and possessor of a brain of rocking-horse proportions, takes a trip to the seaside to remind the sea of its obligations to her family. This year, however, she finds herself trying to faggle out a mystery. Why did a little doggie washed up on the beach neither live nor die? The answer lies in the fairground at the end of the pier, but does she have the courage to face the House of Fear? What do you think?
Amateur Grammatics is a novelette set in the Tworld - two worlds in neighbouring dimensions that overlap. With laughs.
If you enjoy Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, this might not be a complete waste of your time.
