Lynne M. Spreen

Bio

After a thirty-year career in Human Resources, Lynne M. Spreen realized her dream of writing fulltime. She writes midlife fiction and silver romance, because the second half of life is a rich, untapped literary vein of human drama.

Her debut novel, Dakota Blues, tells the story of a 50-year-old woman who takes a last road trip with a 90-year-old friend. The novel won an award for excellence in women's fiction. She followed with Key Largo Blues, and a collection of stories titled Middle-Aged Crazy: Short Stories of Midlife and Beyond. All of her books are available at Amazon.com.

Lynne took up golf at the age of forty-two and sank a hole-in-one shortly thereafter. At sixty-one she began to learn to play piano, a lifelong dream. At the same time, she founded the Diamond Valley Writers' Guild, which is now a robust gathering place for writers.

Besides the Diamond Valley Writers’ Guild, Lynne belongs to the Palm Springs Writers’ Guild and the Romance Writers of America. She is married to Bill Spreen. They live in Hemet, California.
